Suminagashi marbled paper – 2013

This minimalist art pattern is part of my collection of suminagashi marbled paper artwork. Suminagashi is the ancient Japanese technique of marbling paper decoration, using nothing but water and ink. Suminagashi means “floating ink”.

The suminagashi design was hand made on 250 gms. Arches paper.
